EYESHADOW WAR: Makeup Revolution Redemption Palette (Shade #ROMANTIC SMOKED) V/S L.A. Girl Beauty Brick Eyeshadow Collection (Shade #NUDES)

Hi, beauties,

A lot of you guys struggle to find a perfect nude eyeshadow palette. So here I am today, to share my thoughts regarding 2 of my regularly-used eyeshadow palettes. Both of these are my go-to eye palette and great if you are looking for a reasonable natural-nude eyeshadow palette. Read on more to find out who wins the game!

PACKAGING:

The L.A. Girl NUDES palette comes in a black-magnetic cardboard with a transparent cover that gives a peek to the shades from outside. There is also a mirror attached on the back of the cover that becomes very handy during touch-ups. On top of the cover, “L.A Girl eyeshadow collection in NUDES” is printed. The palette comes with a dual-end applicator brush; a sponge applicator in one side and a soft eyeshadow-brush on the other side. I love the magnetic cover the most. The packaging is very classy and stylish.

The Makeup Revolution Redemption palette comes in a black transparent plastic packaging. Only the brand name is printed on top and you can see all the shades clearly from outside. The duo-end applicator that comes with the palette has sponges in both sides. The packaging is very basic here.

TEXTURE:

The L.A. Girl “Nudes” Palette has a collection of 12 shades with nine shimmer and three matte shades. The matte ones are a bit powdery while the shimmery ones are smoother. The shimmers look very classy as they are very fine and not at all chunky. The matte shades are a bit dry, has fallout and hard to blend.

The Makeup Revolution “Romantic Smoked” Palette also has 12 shades in total with six shimmery shades and six matte shades. Most of the shades are soft and subtle. They have little fallout.

SHADE:

The L.A Girl “Nudes” shades are very pretty. The first six shades and the 8th shades are from rose-family, 7th one is a chocolaty shimmer color while the 10th, 11th, 12th are dark colors. The palette can be considered as a dupe to the Urban Decay ‘NAKED-3’ Palette. The 2nd rosy pink shade and the 4th mauve-pinkish shades are my personal favorites from this palette.

The Makeup Revolution “Romantic Smoked” shades are just fantastic and has a mixture of all neutral tones. The 1st , 3rd, 5th are light-shimmery shades, while the 7th, 9th,12th are light-matte shades. And, the 2nd,4th,6th are dark-shimmery shades while the 8th, 10th, 11th are dark-matte shades; i.e. 3 light-shimmer shades & 3 light-matte shades and 3 dark-shimmer shades & 3 dark-matte shades. The shade range is quite amazing as this palette provides all basic earthy tones from which you can easily create makeup looks for daytime, night out, festive and even work-time.

PIGMENTATION:

Most of colors from The L.A Girl “Nudes” palette has less pigmentation. I need to apply atleast two times to make the colors visible, whereas, in the Makeup Revolution Redemption “Romantic Smoked” palette the colors are highly-pigmented. Just with a single stroke, most of the colors show clearly. There is a little fallout issue with both the palettes.

STAYING POWER:

I regularly apply eyeshadow without a base. In the L.A. Girl palette, the hues on my eyelids last for around 5 hours. At that point, they began blurring unevenly. Applying base may expand the wear time and influence them to blur uniformly.

In the Makeup Revolution Palette, the eyeshadows remain for a truly lengthy time-frame in my eyes. They last up to 8 hours and significantly more with an eye preliminary underneath. The shades don't spread close to the eye region by any means. The shading just loses the force following a couple of hours, however, the last power is extraordinary for a palette which is simply drugstore.

FINAL RATINGS:

Now I am going to make it really easy for you guys. Here are the ratings based on each field :
                          #NUDES      #ROMANTIC SMOKED
PACKAGING:        5/5                2/5

Hello guys! Welcome back to my blog. I am Urmila Karmakar and today I'm gonna share with you my personal makeup experience from the basic Drugstore brand to high-end professional brand available in India. To my old readers you already know but to the new visitors let me tell you I got middle-tan skin tone and finding the perfect shade in India is a tough challenge. I hate the whitish cast on the skin that are flooded in the Indian market. I only covered Foundation and Compact Powders in this blog. Concealers are not yet included in this blog, stay updated for my concealer journey next.   So I was curious if only high end makeup can give you that vogue-skin or if budget friendly makeup options can also make you a Greek goddess. So let’s find out below: HIGH-END: M.A.C. STUDIO FIX RANGE FOUNDATION: M.A.C. STUDIO FIX FLUID SPF 15   #NC42 There’s a reason why celebrity and makeup artists swear-by this product.
